This Nuclear Fundamentals module is designed to provide participants with a structured and comprehensive introduction to nuclear science and engineering in a blended approach mixing self-assessed training and classroom. This foundational module ensures that all trainees students acquire the essential knowledge required to understand the core principles, operational systems, and safety considerations that underpin the operation of nuclear power plants.

Developed in alignment with international standards and best practices, the curriculum integrates fundamental scientific concepts with practical applications relevant to the design, construction, and operation of nuclear facilities. The program covers a broad range of disciplines, including reactor theory, civil, mechanical, electrical, and chemical engineering, as well as instrumentation and control and radiation protection. This multidisciplinary approach ensures that participants gain a holistic understanding of the nuclear industry and its unique challenges. It would include in particular:
